Gujarat State Petronet Ltd., or GSPL, natural gas transmission company in India, reported a lower net profit for the fourth-quarter, despite an increase in revenue.
The Gandhinagar-based company posted fourth-quarter net profit of Rs.34.75 crore or Re.0.62 per share, 14% lower than Rs.40.57 crore or Re.0.73 per share in the corresponding quarter last year.
The company's quarterly net revenue rose 14% to Rs.131.98 crore from Rs.116.10 crore in the year-ago quarter, while other income totaled Rs.4.42 crore, compared with Rs.8.79 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
During the quarter, the company transported 1,154.57 MMSCM of gas, compared to 1,613,94 MMSCM in the previous year quarter.
